The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced plans to host its inaugural Aspirants Dinner as part of efforts to strengthen unity and engagement within the party ahead of future political activities.
According to a statement issued by the party’s National Secretary, Barrister Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, the event is scheduled to hold on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the A Class Event Center, Kashim Ibrahim Way, Maitama/Wuse 2, Abuja, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The dinner, to be hosted by the NDC National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, will bring together screened aspirants on the party’s platform alongside select stakeholders.

Enekweizu said the gathering is aimed at fostering closer interaction between the party leadership, aspirants, and supporters who have remained committed to the growth and expansion of the NDC across Nigeria and beyond.
He noted that the National Leader and the party hierarchy intend to use the occasion to engage with party members and stakeholders who have demonstrated faith in the NDC and contributed to spreading its message across different parts of the country, including the Diaspora.
According to him, the event forms part of the party’s broader vision of building a united and inclusive political family.
“It is part of our vision of making the NDC one true united and closely knit family, where everyone is important,” Enekweizu stated.
The NDC scribe added that the dinner is designed not only as a social gathering but also as a platform to reinforce party cohesion and deepen relationships among members and aspirants.
The statement emphasized that attendance at the event is strictly by invitation, underscoring its exclusive nature and targeted engagement with party stakeholders.
Political observers see the dinner as a strategic move by the relatively new political platform to consolidate its internal structures and strengthen loyalty among its members as it seeks wider national acceptance.
