For Chisom Godswill Anyim, emerging as the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate for the Ivo State Constituency seat is more than a political victory—it is a responsibility to represent the aspirations of thousands of people who believe their voices deserve to be heard.
The youthful politician, who has built a reputation among many residents for his engagement with community development and youth empowerment initiatives, said his emergence reflects the trust reposed in him by party leaders, stakeholders and the people of Ivo Local Government Area.
Speaking after securing the APC ticket, Anyim expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Francis Nwifuru and party faithful for their support, describing the opportunity as a call to selfless service.

According to him, the peaceful conduct of the APC primaries in Ebonyi State demonstrated the party’s commitment to unity and internal democracy, while also creating an atmosphere where consensus and cooperation could thrive.
For many young people in Ivo, Anyim’s emergence is seen as a reflection of the growing demand for a new generation of leaders who understand the challenges facing local communities. He said that if elected, he would focus on issues that directly affect everyday life, including employment opportunities, quality education, healthcare services, agriculture and rural infrastructure.
“This mandate belongs to every young person seeking opportunities, every woman striving for a better future for her family, and every community yearning for development,” he said.
Anyim pledged to remain accessible to constituents and ensure that their concerns are reflected in legislative decisions at the Ebonyi State House of Assembly. He noted that leadership should not be measured by titles but by the ability to listen and respond to the needs of the people.
Residents and party stakeholders who spoke on his emergence described him as energetic and approachable, expressing optimism that his candidacy could bring fresh ideas and stronger representation to the constituency.
As preparations for the 2027 general election gather momentum, Anyim says his focus remains on building trust among the people and presenting practical solutions to the challenges facing Ivo Constituency. For him, the journey ahead is not just about winning an election, but about fulfilling the expectations of those who have placed their confidence in his leadership.
