Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has publicly declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all candidates of the Rainbow Coalition, calling on his supporters across the state to align with the coalition in the interest of peace and development.

Governor Fubara made the declaration on Tuesday during the groundbreaking ceremony for a medical consumables manufacturing facility in Rivers State.

The governor said the period of political hostility and division in Rivers State had come to an end, emphasizing that his administration was committed to fostering unity and working with all stakeholders to advance the state’s development agenda.

According to him, lasting peace and collaboration are essential for attracting investments, creating jobs, and improving the welfare of the people.

Fubara urged political actors and residents to set aside differences and embrace a new chapter of reconciliation, noting that the state stands to gain more through cooperation than confrontation.

“I support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all the candidates of the Rainbow Coalition. I also urge my supporters to give them their full support. The era of conflict is over. What Rivers State needs now is peace, unity, and collective effort to move our state forward,” the governor said.

He also described the proposed medical consumables manufacturing facility as a significant investment that would strengthen the state’s healthcare sector, reduce dependence on imported medical supplies, and provide employment opportunities for residents.

Fubara assured investors of his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, stressing that political stability remains a key driver of economic growth.

The governor’s endorsement of President Tinubu and the Rainbow Coalition is expected to reshape the political landscape in Rivers State ahead of future electoral activities, coming amid ongoing realignments among political stakeholders in the state.
