  • … calls for prioritized education for the less privileged, commends WARM’s Pastor Muyi Otamere

By Owen Eresoyen, Benin

Renowned philanthropist and man of God, Pastor Harrison Okpamen, has assured Nigerians that the current wave of insecurity, especially kidnapping, “will definitely be confined to history”.

Speaking to journalists in Benin City, Edo State, on Wednesday, Pastor Okpamen lamented that kidnapping has become a “job opportunity” for what he described as heartless traducers.

“Kidnappers today work with insiders, including big shots in Nigeria,” he said. “But God will crash their sinister disposition of kidnapping children and others for pecuniary gains. This evil phase will pass, and Nigeria will be better for it.”

The pastor, who stressed the need to raise children as “ambassadors of the family”, noted that he has been intentional about supporting his own children. Many of them, he said, are now graduates with master’s degrees.

He urged the Federal Government not to be distracted by what he called “unfolding evil characters”, but to prioritize quality education for children from less privileged homes.

“Many children want to be educated but have no means of doing so,” Pastor Okpamen stressed. “If government puts education first, we will cut the supply line of crime and secure the future of this nation.”

While commending Pastor Dr. Muyi Otamere for the impactful work at Word Applied Reconciliation Ministries, WARM, Benin City, he called on true men and women of God to keep praying for Nigeria amid current security challenges.

He prayed that those behind nefarious activities inflicting pain on innocent families would be exposed and arrested. He also prayed for his family to continue succeeding in their collaborative efforts to support him.
