The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board has announced plans to host the 2026 Oil and Gas Midstream and Downstream Stakeholders Summit as part of efforts to deepen collaboration and unlock investment opportunities in Nigeria’s energy sector.

The summit, scheduled for May 19 to 20, 2026, will take place at Four Points by Sheraton Lagos in Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to a statement signed by Obinna Ezeobi, PhD, General Manager, Corporate Communications Division of the board, the summit will bring together key decision-makers, government officials, regulators, institutional investors, financiers, operators and EPC contractors to discuss emerging opportunities within Nigeria’s rapidly evolving midstream and downstream sectors.

The event will be hosted by the Executive Secretary of the board, Felix Omatsola Ogbe.

The statement noted that the summit comes at a time when the implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act continues to strengthen transparency and create a more investor-friendly business environment in the country’s oil and gas industry.

It explained that the summit is expected to serve as a strategic platform for stakeholder engagement, partnership development and investment promotion across the oil and gas value chain.

Expected participants include senior executives and management teams from the oil and gas industry, midstream and downstream operators, regulatory agencies, government representatives, technical experts and other professionals within the energy sector.

The board added that the summit would facilitate discussions on the implementation of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act 2010 and the Ministerial Regulations 2021, while also addressing industry challenges and emerging opportunities.
