What began as an ordinary day inside a quiet apartment in Osongama Estate, Uyo, ended in a tragedy that has left residents shaken and raised fresh concerns about trust, relationships, and personal safety.
Thirty-six-year-old Chikoka Emeka Henry was found dead in his home after allegedly being attacked by a woman believed to have been close to him. According to the Akwa Ibom State Police Command, the prime suspect, Lorretta Anoh, has been arrested in connection with the killing.
Investigators say Anoh was the last person seen entering Henry’s apartment on Tuesday. That detail would later become a crucial lead in unraveling the mystery surrounding his death.
Police allege that during the investigation, officers recovered ₦2,943,250 in cash, which the suspect reportedly admitted was taken from the deceased. Authorities also claim she was making arrangements to transfer ownership of Henry’s Mercedes-Benz 4Matic vehicle to herself before her arrest. The vehicle was later recovered.
Preliminary findings revealed that the victim had sustained a deep cut to the head, suggesting he may have been attacked inside the very home where he likely felt safest.
