Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has congratulated the Minister of Works, Sen. Engr. David Nweze Umahi, on the occasion of his 63rd birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose contributions to infrastructure development and public service continue to inspire Nigerians.
In a goodwill message, Governor Nwifuru joined millions of Nigerians, friends, associates, and admirers across the world in celebrating the former Ebonyi State governor, commending his courage, discipline, and unwavering commitment to national development.
The governor said Umahi’s leadership has left a lasting legacy in Ebonyi State, noting that his administration transformed the state’s infrastructure and improved the living conditions of many rural communities.
According to Nwifuru, Umahi’s current role as Minister of Works has further demonstrated his competence through the implementation of critical federal road projects, innovative engineering solutions, and reforms aimed at improving Nigeria’s road infrastructure.
He said the minister’s performance has continued to justify the confidence reposed in him by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stressing that Umahi remains an example of how competence and dedication can drive meaningful public service.
The governor also noted that Umahi’s transition from a transformational governor to one of Nigeria’s most impactful ministers reflects the true essence of leadership, which, he said, is defined not by the office one occupies but by the value one brings to every assignment.
On behalf of the Government and people of Ebonyi State, Nwifuru prayed for God’s continued wisdom, strength, protection, and good health for the minister as he marks his 63rd birthday.
He expressed hope that the years ahead would be even more fruitful, while urging Umahi to continue inspiring future generations through his integrity, resilience, and steadfast commitment to the development of Nigeria.
Governor Nwifuru concluded by wishing the Minister of Works a happy 63rd birthday and many more years of impactful service to the nation.
