Frontline Edo Royal Socialite, Princess Tessy Sky Enogieovban has called on Edo people to reject crime, apathy and darkness, while commending Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo for “bold steps to reposition the state.”

Speaking in Benin City on Monday with Journalists, the respected royal voiced strongly condemned the rising kidnappings, prostitution, the lukewarm attitude of youths, and growing involvement in cultism. She also decried inconsistent power supply by BEDC across Benin City and other parts of Edo State.

Saying “Our youths deserve better than cultism, excuses and empty living,” Princess Tessy Sky said. “We cannot build Edo on blood, silence and apathy. Every young person must choose purpose over destruction.”

On electricity, she was blunt: “Light is not a luxury. It is oxygen for business, for schools, for hospitals. Our people are tired of paying for darkness.”

She, however, praised the governor for visible infrastructure work. “I commend Senator Monday Okpebholo for deliberate steps to fix Edo, ongoing road construction, reconstruction of the historic Oba Market, and new flyovers across Benin City. Roads connect people. Markets restore livelihoods. Flyovers save time and lives. We must support leaders who act,” she stated.

With maternal concern, the princess lamented the plight of teenage girls who get pregnant and, after delivery, cannot lay claims to the rightful father. “It is heartbreaking. When a child is born into uncertainty, society must ask hard questions. Our girls need guidance and values. Our boys must learn responsibility,” she added.

Princess Tessy Sky Enogieovban however appreciated God for the lives and unity of Divas International members, adding that “These men and women show up for one another in grief and in celebration. That unity is divine. God is alive in their commitment to value and sisterhood,” she said.
