In celebration of the 2026 World Music Day, members of the Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Bayelsa State chapter, engaged Bayelsa-based On-Air Personalities in an entertaining novelty football match that produced an exciting seven-goal thriller.
The encounter, coordinated by Royal FM’s Dr. Fish, who also served as head coach of the OAPs team, brought together presenters from various radio stations across the state in a colourful display of unity and sportsmanship.
The OAPs endured a difficult first half, trailing by two goals, before PMAN extended their lead to 3-0 after the break. However, the broadcasters mounted a remarkable comeback, refusing to surrender.
Royal FM’s MC Bighead inspired the resurgence with a brilliant hat-trick, before a late winner completed the turnaround as the OAPs fought back from three goals down to secure a dramatic 4-3 victory over the musicians.
The match, held as part of activities marking World Music Day on Saturday, was widely applauded for promoting friendship and strengthening ties between members of the media and the music industry in Bayelsa State.
