The NNPC Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of NNPC Limited, has strengthened Nigeria’s healthcare sector with the donation and commissioning of a fully installed, state-of-the-art 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Dala, Kano State.

The intervention forms part of NNPC Ltd.’s commitment to improving access to quality healthcare and enhancing medical infrastructure across the country. The advanced MRI system is expected to significantly improve the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions, including orthopaedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, trauma-related, and gynaecological disorders.

Before the installation of the facility, patients in need of advanced MRI services often faced challenges such as long-distance travel, extended waiting periods, and high diagnostic costs due to the limited availability of such equipment.
