“For some reason I have checked my mind out of getting married but I need to have a girl and I must have a girl,” she said during the livestream.
She further explained that motherhood carries a different meaning when raising daughters, noting that mothers often serve as the primary role models for female children.
“I feel like motherhood starts better when you have a girl. You will understand motherhood when you have a girl child. Having boys is easy because at least you can groom them to have a role model in a father figure,” Regina stated.
Reflecting on how her opinion changed over time, the actress admitted that she once ruled out the idea of having daughters entirely before becoming a mother.
“Before I had my first son, I said, no, never. I will never have a girl child. Never, ever. But after my first, after my second… You know, it’s female kids that remember,” she added.
Regina’s comments have since sparked conversations on social media, with many fans sharing differing opinions about marriage, parenting and the unique bond between mothers and daughters.
