In a New Year message released on behalf of the Management and Staff of the Commission, Dr. Idris congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the New Year, describing it as a time of renewed hope and collective responsibility toward national development through education.
He expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for what he described as visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to educational transformation and inclusive development, particularly for Almajiri and out-of-school children nationwide.
The Executive Secretary also commended the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, and the Honourable Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Sa’d Ahmad, for their guidance, policy direction, and sustained support in advancing the Commission’s mandate.
Dr. Idris further acknowledged the contributions of state governments, religious and traditional rulers, development partners, civil society organisations, non-governmental and faith-based organisations, the media, educators, and parents, noting that their collaborative efforts have continued to strengthen access to education for vulnerable children.
He thanked Nigerians for their support and belief in education as a critical tool for national development, stressing that the Commission remains resolute in ensuring that no child is left behind.
“As we move forward, the Commission remains fully committed to expanding access to quality, inclusive, and relevant education,” he said.
