Authorities in Toledo, Ohio, have launched a manhunt for 45-year-old Jeanita Hopings, who is accused of brutally attacking her boyfriend during a violent home invasion that left the victim with severe injuries to his groin area.
According to a police report, the shocking incident occurred late Sunday night when Hopings allegedly kicked in the front door of her boyfriend’s residence and stormed inside in a fit of rage. Armed with what investigators described as a “sharp object,” she reportedly confronted the man and proceeded to slice open his scrotum, leaving him bleeding profusely.
Police said the attack was so vicious that one of the victim’s testicles was fully exposed. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors performed emergency treatment. Medical personnel confirmed that while his injuries were serious, his condition has since stabilized.
Neighbors told investigators they heard loud shouting and the sound of glass breaking shortly before police and paramedics arrived at the scene. One resident, who asked not to be identified, said they were “stunned” by the level of violence, describing the couple’s relationship as “rocky but nothing like this before.”

“This was a brutal, targeted attack,” a police spokesperson said. “We are doing everything possible to locate Ms. Hopings and bring her into custody to face justice.”
