Residents of Angwa Rukuba have been thrown into mourning following a deadly attack that claimed the lives of over 20 people on Palm Sunday, leaving families shattered and the community in shock.
Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos and despair as suspected armed assailants stormed the area in the early hours of the day, opening fire on unsuspecting residents. Among the heartbreaking moments that have since emerged is that of a mother seen clutching the lifeless body of her young son, wailing in grief as neighbours struggled to console her.
