Popular media personality, Daddy Freeze, has reacted to the ongoing controversy involving Anu’s mother and Afrobeat star Davido, advising her to handle the matter with caution, dignity and through proper legal channels rather than on social media.
In a message that has since circulated online, Daddy Freeze said he considers Anu’s mother “like a daughter,” explaining that her late father was once his lecturer. He encouraged her to focus on raising the child responsibly and ensuring she becomes successful, regardless of the circumstances surrounding her birth.
“If the father were dead, would you not raise her?” he asked, stressing that no one can compel Davido to submit to a DNA test through social media pressure. According to him, continued public accusations could expose her to legal risks, including possible claims of harassment and restraining orders.
Daddy Freeze further advised her to seek proper legal counsel if she truly intends to pursue the matter. He recommended respected legal practitioners such as Femi Falana or Afe Babalola, noting that they sometimes offer pro bono services.
He also cautioned against openly sharing personal details of how the child was conceived, saying such narratives may not portray her positively in the public space and could attract unnecessary judgment and backlash.
The media personality concluded by urging her to take the issue off social media, prioritize the welfare of the child, and allow the law to take its proper course.
