… Nwifuru Reaffirms Commitment to Development
Abakaliki was aglow with gratitude and unity on Sunday as Governor Francis Nwifuru led the people of Ebonyi State to the 2025 State Thanksgiving Mass held at the Government House Chapel, Abakaliki.

The solemn but celebratory Holy Mass drew a cross-section of political leaders, traditional rulers, clergy, and stakeholders from across the state, including the three former elected Governors of Ebonyi State, underscoring a rare moment of solidarity and continuity in leadership.
Presiding over the Mass was the Catholic Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Nworie Chukwu, who offered prayers for peace, good governance, and divine guidance for the state and its leaders. The Bishop commended the spirit of thanksgiving and urged leaders to remain steadfast in service to the people.
In his address, Governor Nwifuru expressed profound gratitude to God Almighty for His grace, protection, and abiding love over Ebonyi State. He also thanked the Church for its consistent prayers and moral support, describing them as pillars that continue to strengthen the administration.
The Governor appreciated the people of Ebonyi State and all stakeholders for their unity, love, and unwavering support, noting that their trust and prayers have remained a driving force behind his administration’s vision.
“As we move into the coming year, we remain resolute in our commitment to accelerated development and the faithful implementation of people-oriented projects that will positively impact lives across our communities,” Nwifuru said.
He reaffirmed his administration’s determination to build a better, stronger, and more prosperous Ebonyi State, emphasizing that inclusive governance and collective responsibility would remain central to achieving sustainable development.

The thanksgiving service concluded on a note of hope and renewed purpose, with prayers for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Ebonyi State. Participants described the event as a powerful reminder that gratitude, unity, and faith remain essential foundations for moving the state forward.
