Kanye West Reignites Controversy With Claims of Industry Control and Persecution

American rapper and fashion designer Kanye West, who now goes by the name Ye, has once again stirred public debate after releasing a series of explosive statements alleging manipulation, control, and persecution within the entertainment industry.

In remarks circulating widely on social media, Ye suggested that embattled music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing consequences he had long warned about, claiming that powerful systems within Hollywood and the music industry first “monetize” artists, grant them influence, and later “destroy” them once they can no longer be controlled.

“They’re angry with me because they can’t control me,” Ye said, asserting that other high-profile figures such as Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Diddy remain under industry manipulation, while he does not. He added that he no longer accepts “disrespect from anyone,” insisting that only God has authority over him.

The rapper also made unverified and highly controversial claims about ritual sacrifice in Hollywood, alleging that his late mother, Donda West, as well as relatives of sports and music legends, were sacrificed in exchange for fame and power. These claims have not been supported by evidence and echo conspiracy theories Ye has previously promoted.

Ye further alleged that after he refused to be controlled, influential forces stripped him of his wealth and business partnerships. He referenced Forbes’ recent estimate of his net worth, dismissing reports that place his fortune at about $400 million and insisting he remains a billionaire.

Framing his remarks around his Christian faith, Ye said his survival and sense of purpose are rooted in his belief in God. “Jesus is King, and God loves me,” he declared, describing himself as “Christian Ye” who has returned fully to faith.

The latest statements have drawn mixed reactions online, with supporters praising Ye for “speaking his truth,” while critics expressed concern over the inflammatory nature of his claims and their potential to spread misinformation.

Ye, once celebrated primarily for his musical innovation, has in recent years become equally known for controversial public pronouncements that continue to spark global conversation about fame, power, mental health, and accountability in the entertainment industry.
