WOMAN ED Celebrates Men on International Men’s Day

The Executive Director of Women Organized for Mentorship and Advocacy Network (WOMAN), Lady Eunice Nnachi, has extended warm greetings to men across Nigeria and beyond in commemoration of the 2025 International Men’s Day, celebrated annually on November 19.

In a goodwill message on Tuesday, Nnachi applauded men for their unwavering contributions to family life, community development, and national growth. She described men as “pillars of strength, providers of stability, and partners in progress,” noting that their efforts often go unrecognized despite the critical roles they play in society.

According to her, International Men’s Day provides an opportunity to highlight not only the achievements of men but also the challenges they face, including mental health concerns, workplace pressure, and societal expectations that discourage emotional expression. She emphasized the need for creating supportive environments where men can thrive without stigma.

Nnachi further commended responsible fathers, dedicated mentors, and community leaders who continue to inspire younger generations through positive examples. She also urged men to prioritize their health and well-being, stressing that healthier men lead to stronger families and more resilient communities.

The WOMAN Executive Director reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to promoting gender balance, encouraging mutual respect, and strengthening collaborative efforts between men and women for a more inclusive society.

She concluded by wishing all men a fulfilling and reflective International Men’s Day, celebrating their values, sacrifices, and impact on humanity.
