to Lead Women’s Summit at National MSME Conference 2025 in Lagos

The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, will lead the Women Summit at the upcoming National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Conference 2025, scheduled to hold from November 16th to 18th at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.

The conference, themed “Building a Future of Innovation, Resilience, and Prosperity,” is expected to gather key stakeholders from government, industry, finance, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem to discuss strategies for enhancing the growth of MSMEs across Nigeria. A major highlight of the event will be the Women Summit, which aims to amplify the voices of women in business and create a roadmap for more inclusive economic participation.

According to the Ministry of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim’s participation underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to empowering women-led enterprises as part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The Minister, known for her passion for gender inclusion and social development, will be engaging participants on key issues affecting women entrepreneurs — including access to finance, mentorship, skills development, and market expansion.

She is expected to outline new initiatives designed to strengthen support systems for women in business, particularly in rural areas and the informal sector. Her advocacy focuses on building policies that dismantle barriers to women’s economic empowerment while promoting collaboration among government agencies, development partners, and the private sector.

Speaking ahead of the event, organizers noted that the Women Summit will serve as a strategic platform to inspire, educate, and connect women entrepreneurs with opportunities that drive sustainable business growth. It will also feature panel discussions, masterclasses, and exhibitions showcasing innovative products and services from women-led enterprises across Nigeria.

The conference aims to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and resilience among Nigerian women, recognizing them as vital contributors to national economic development. With women constituting a large portion of Nigeria’s informal economy, stakeholders believe that supporting their businesses will accelerate job creation, reduce poverty, and boost national productivity.

Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim’s leadership at the Summit is expected to inspire women to scale their enterprises and take advantage of emerging opportunities in digital trade, agribusiness, and creative industries.

The Ministry of Women Affairs reaffirmed its readiness to collaborate with relevant institutions to ensure that women have equal access to resources, technology, and training that will enable them to thrive in today’s competitive economy.

The National MSME Conference 2025 promises to be a milestone event, fostering dialogue, partnerships, and innovation to propel Nigeria’s small business landscape into a new era of inclusive prosperity and growth.
