Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi state Wednesday said that creation of additional state in Southeast was a necessity.

 

This was as the governor said that the sixth state will fixed the imbalance the region have faced in the country.

 

 

Governor Nwifuru disclosed this to journalists shortly after the state executive council meeting at the Executive Council chambers New Government House, centenary city Abakaliki.

 

He said ” Yes I will like another State to be created in South because, is a necessity for South East region to get another state to testify the imbalance we have seen “.

 

 

When asked about losing three local government area to the new state, Nwifuru said ” I am no more in the legislative, I am now in the Executive and I have not see any document and I cannot respond to any document I did not see”. He said

 

 

He however warned the youths who have taking over the social media space to insult elders of the state.

“People are cashing out , our youths are venturing into insulting the elders but they should know the traditional outcomes of insulting their elders”. He noted
