IPC Congratulates Ms. Anikeade Funke-Treasure on International Recognition for “Voice of Dignity” AwardThe International Press Centre (IPC), Lagos-Nigeria, has congratulated Ms. Anikeade Funke-Treasure, a distinguished member of its Board, on receiving an international honour from the Heroes of Tomorrows Africa Foundation (HOTAF) in the United States of America.

Ms. Funke-Treasure was honoured with the prestigious “Voice of Dignity” Award Plaque, a recognition that underscores her exceptional contributions to ethical journalism, human dignity, and impactful storytelling across Africa and beyond.

In a statement signed by the IPC Programme Officer, Melody Akinjiyan, the Centre described the recognition as a “well-deserved testament to Ms. Funke-Treasure’s unwavering commitment to amplifying voices and promoting justice through the media.”

IPC’s Executive Director and Board Secretary, Mr. Lanre Arogundade, expressed immense pride in her achievements, noting that her professionalism and leadership continue to inspire journalists, particularly women, to uphold excellence and integrity in media practice.

“As a seasoned broadcaster, media development expert, and advocate for gender inclusion, Ms. Funke-Treasure has remained a beacon of inspiration to the journalism community,” Arogundade said.

He urged her to continue blazing the trail, mentoring younger professionals, and championing the values of dignity, justice, and excellence that earned her the international accolade.

The IPC reaffirmed its commitment to supporting members who embody the ideals of ethical journalism and contribute positively to society’s growth through responsible media practice
