Bayelsa Queens FC Unveil Another Player Ahead Of 2025/26 NWFL Premiership SeasonBayelsa Queens Football Club of Yenagoa has unveiled a new player to bolster the team ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League Premiership (NWFL).

The newly unveiled player is Chidi Harmony, on loan from Imo Strikers FC, a centre forward and also an utility player.

Chidi Harmony was with the Nigeria U-17 team the Flamingos that went to the U-17 World Cup in Dominican Republic in 2024.

Speaking while unveiling the new player at the Samson Siasia stadium on Wednesday, Chairman of Bayelsa Queens FC, Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala, said the new player will boost the team’s bid for a continental ticket.

“We have decided to recruit new players, whom we feel have what it takes to help us achieve our set goals. Coupled with the quality of players, and support of the Bayelsa State Government and other stakeholders, we believe we can achieve our target,” Pastor Apreala said.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Douye Diri for his unwavering support, which has been instrumental in the team’s preparations and said the team could not have achieved this much if not for the passion and support of the Governor.

The Chairman lauded the deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the Commissioner for Sports Development, Dr. Baraladei Daniel Igali (OLY) and other stakeholders for their various support to the team and management of the club.
