Two Suspected Kidnappers Arrested in Kaduna After Victims’ Tip-Off
Kaduna — The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested two suspected kidnappers following a carefully coordinated operation based on intelligence provided by their alleged victims.
According to police sources, the suspects had earlier abducted two married women and held them in captivity before releasing them. After their release, the women maintained contact with the suspects as part of a plan to assist security agencies in tracking them.
On Tuesday, the women reportedly invited the suspects to a meeting point under the pretext of a friendly encounter. Acting on prior information, police operatives were already positioned at the location and arrested the two suspects immediately they arrived.
The suspects are currently in police custody and are assisting investigators with ongoing inquiries. The police said further details will be made public after preliminary investigations are concluded.
The Kaduna State Police Command commended the courage of the victims and urged members of the public to always cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and useful information that can help curb crime.
Residents have also been advised to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity to the nearest security post.
