Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has reaffirmed the commitment of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to ensuring a credible, peaceful and successful local government council election slated for 2026.
The governor gave the assurance on Tuesday after participating in a crucial meeting of the State Executive Committee (SEC) of the APC held at the party’s State Secretariat in Abakaliki.
Governor Nwifuru described the meeting as focused and purposeful, noting that party leaders and stakeholders reviewed key strategies aimed at strengthening internal cohesion and guaranteeing a smooth and transparent electoral process.
According to him, the deliberations were marked by a strong sense of unity, shared vision and unwavering dedication to democratic ideals among members of the party.
“I was encouraged by the level of togetherness and commitment displayed by our party leaders and stakeholders. Togetherness remains our strength,” the governor said.
He expressed confidence that with sustained collaboration, discipline and dedication, the APC in Ebonyi State would continue to set the pace in democratic governance and deliver quality leadership at the grassroots and beyond.
Governor Nwifuru further reaffirmed the party’s resolve to remain people-focused, stressing that the APC’s commitment to the development and welfare of Ebonyi citizens remains firm and unshaken.
The meeting forms part of the party’s early preparations to ensure internal stability and effective coordination ahead of the 2026 local government council elections in the state.
