Sen. Natasha Celebrates Recognition as Google’s Most Searched Person in 2025

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has celebrated her emergence as Google’s Most Searched Person in Nigeria for 2025, describing the recognition as a testament to the unwavering interest and support of Nigerians in her rising political journey.

In a celebratory post on her Facebook page, Akpoti-Uduaghan expressed deep gratitude to Nigerians for what she called an “unprecedented public interest” in her life and political activities. The senator, who has faced notable political hurdles in recent months, said the achievement belonged not just to her, but to the millions of Nigerians who have continued to follow and support her.

“Nigerians, you did this and here’s your trophy,” she wrote. “Out of 237 million people, I emerged the most searched person with an ‘unprecedented public interest’ around a rising political profile.”

Akpoti-Uduaghan also reflected on the challenges she has encountered since assuming office, noting that being shut out of Senate activities for six months and struggling to speak on key national issues had tested her resilience. She, however, credited her supporters and faith for giving her strength through the difficult period.

“They shut me out of the Senate for six months; till date, I still struggle to speak on topical issues. But I thank God and the people for lifting me up,” she stated.

In her message, the senator offered heartfelt appreciation to her constituents and the wider Nigerian populace.

“Kogi Central… I love you.
Kogi State… I adore you.
Nigeria… Respect,” she wrote, adding playful emojis to lighten the tone of her celebration.

Signing off as “Famously Kogi Central,” Akpoti-Uduaghan humorously embraced her newfound status:
Google’s Most Searched Person 2025 — Na my new badge be that now,” she joked.

Her recognition by Google underscores the significant attention her political battles, court victories, advocacy work, and growing national influence have drawn over the past year.

Akpoti-Uduaghan, known for her outspoken positions on governance, electoral transparency and social justice, has become one of the most closely watched public figures in Nigeria’s political landscape.
