John Cena Says Parenthood Isn’t in His Playbook

Hollywood actor and WWE superstar John Cena has made it clear that fatherhood isn’t part of his future plans. Cena, who is married to Canadian engineer Shay Shariatzadeh, revealed that the couple has no intention of having children or adopting, emphasizing that they are content with their life as it is.

Speaking candidly, Cena said that while he respects and admires parents, he personally does not see himself taking on that role. “They’re a blessing,” he explained, “but I don’t want to have children. I want to enjoy the time I have.”

The 47-year-old actor, known for his discipline and commitment to his career, added that he and Shariatzadeh prefer to focus on each other and their shared interests rather than the responsibilities of raising kids.

Cena’s stance on parenthood isn’t new. During past interviews, he has expressed similar sentiments, citing his demanding schedule and desire for personal balance. His comments have once again sparked discussions online, with fans divided over his decision — some praising his honesty, while others question his choice to remain child-free.

Despite the debate, Cena remains firm in his position. For him, happiness lies in living authentically and maintaining a life that aligns with his priorities. As he continues to balance acting, wrestling, and philanthropy, Cena seems content writing his own version of fulfillment — one that doesn’t include parenthood.
